Acupuncture Needles

Needles come in many shapes and sizes. Some are used for insertive needling whilst others merely stimulate the surface of the skin. They can be made of stainless steel, silver or gold. Japanese acupuncture is reknown for it’s refined needling techniques which aim to produce a pleasant and relaxing experience.

Moxibustion

The word Moxa (or Mogusa) literally means “Burning Herb”. The practice of moxibustion has been around for thousands of years and is inextricably linked to the practice of acupuncture and East Asian medicine. Buring moxa provides energy to the body in a way that is difficult to achieve with the use of needles alone.

Cupping

Cupping is the term applied to a technique that uses small glass or bamboo cups as suction devices which are placed on the skin to disperse and break up stagnation and congestion by drawing congested blood, energy or other humors (such as phelm and blood) to the surface.
